Calendar and Holidays

The 364 day calendar year of Ashtar consists of thirteen months, each of 28 days in length. Each month is named after a constellation seen in the northern hemisphere. They are considered to be the embodiments of divine spirits. Day one of the calendar year, which is the winter solstice, is the first day of Ireul and the last day of the year is the 28th of Zepha. Each month is tied to a particular star, although that star may not be part of the associated constellation.
